You have built solid foundations in commercial property. You are ready for a role where the work stretches beyond traditional transactions into energy transition, carbon and project work — and where senior lawyers are genuinely invested in your development.
The Firm
A Queensland property and projects practice working with international and domestic clients including renewable energy developers, carbon service providers, listed REITs, large commercial property owners, property developers, and hotel and resort owners. The team sits across capital transactions, energy transition projects, waste-to-hydrogen projects, carbon sequestration and finance.
The Timing
The team is looking for an experienced lawyer to join an established and growing practice. Several junior lawyers already sit beneath you for support and mentoring, and the team meets regularly to discuss workflow and supervision.
The Work Itself
One matter might be the acquisition or disposal of a commercial, industrial or retail asset. Another might involve land acquisitions and tenure arrangements for a wind, solar, battery or waste-to-hydrogen project. Another still could be service, security and co-operation agreements for carbon sequestration, titling for a complex body corporate development, environmental offset arrangements, or drafting sale and purchase agreements for a significant M&A transaction involving renewable energy. Alongside this, project structuring, project financing, foreign investment approvals and regulatory work.

Sound Like You?
A lawyer with 3–4 years PAE across commercial property, ideally with exposure to renewable energy matters and corporate or PPS work. Strong drafting, research and commercial acumen. Comfortable running files autonomously and alongside senior lawyers, with a keen interest in mentoring juniors and getting involved in business development.
