Your New Role
Working directly with a well-respected Partner, you’ll step into a role that offers a broad mix of coverage and defence work. Your clients will include major insurers, national engineering consultancies, top-tier construction contractors, and a diverse range of insured entities.

In this dynamic and collaborative role, you will:

  • Take primary carriage of commercial litigation matters, with strong mentorship and guidance
  • Draft and manage correspondence, pleadings, submissions, affidavits, and other court documents
  • Appear in court, tribunal hearings, and settlement conferences
  • Deliver clear, strategic advice to clients on complex insurance issues
  • Build and manage strong client relationships, with the opportunity to contribute to business development initiatives
  • Work closely with senior lawyers and team members across the practice
  • Mentor junior lawyers and support seasonal clerks and graduates as they rotate through the team
  • Maintain key client systems and portals with care and accuracy

Your Skills Profile
  • 1-3 years PAE in construction, professional indemnity and property insurance;
  • Experience acting in subrogated recovery actions desirable, but not essential;
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong time management skills;
  • Highly organised, able to plan and prioritise work to meet key deliverables
  • A professional, client focused and ethical approach
  • A resilient nature with the ability to remain calm under pressure
