Your New Role
This is a Junior Legal Counsel role designed as a genuine development opportunity for an early-career lawyer looking to build a strong foundation in commercial in-house practice.
You will join a small, supportive legal team and receive hands-on mentoring from multiple senior lawyers, gaining exposure well beyond “desk-based” contract review. The role is heavily weighted towards commercial contracts, with meaningful interaction across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing, amending and advising on a high volume of commercial agreements, including customer and operational contracts
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand commercial context, risk allocation and business priorities
- Advising on contracts in a practical, solutions-focused way
- Supporting broader legal matters as they arise, including insurance, occasional disputes, and employment or IP issues

- 1–3 years’ post-admission experience in commercial law with demonstrable hands-on exposure to commercial contracts;
- Able to read, understand and question contracts (including foundational agreements such as NDAs);
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with non-legal stakeholders; and
- Curious, proactive and keen to learn
- Commercial litigation background will be considered only where there is clear evidence of contract literacy.
