This is a Legal Counsel opportunity for a mid-level lawyer ready to step into a varied, autonomous in-house role.

The Team
The legal team is cohesive, widely trusted and growing. Reporting to the Head of Legal, they need a lawyer who enjoys variety and can work across commercial matters, corporate governance and property law, serving as a trusted legal voice for stakeholders across the business from day one. Every member of the team works across a large number of strategic projects, business as usual work, and regulatory and governance matters. It's a busy team, doing genuinely interesting and varied work.
The Work Itself
In this role, you will work across a range of commercial, strategic and operational matters, partnering with stakeholders throughout the organisation. Depending on your experience and interests, matters may include:
- Major commercial contracting and negotiations
- Strategic projects and growth
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Property, leasing and development matters
- Procurement and supplier arrangements
- Data governance and technology projects
- Regulatory and compliance advice
- Corporate governance and company secretariat support
- Enterprise risk management initiatives

Sound Like You?
A commercial lawyer with 4-7 years PAE and strong contract drafting experience. Exposure to property law is a plus but not essential and by no means a focus of your day to day. Experience from a well-regarded private practice firm or in-house environment preferred. You are a self-starter who is calm, pragmatic and solutions-focused, with the commercial acumen and confidence to manage multiple matters and stakeholders independently.
