You have built solid experience across corporate and commercial law and/or property law. The technical capability is there. This is a Legal Counsel opportunity for a mid-level lawyer who is ready to step into a varied, autonomous in-house role.

The Team
The legal team is cohesive, widely trusted and growing. Reporting to the Head of Legal, they need a lawyer who enjoys variety and can work across property law, commercial matters and corporate governance, serving as a trusted legal voice for stakeholders across the business from day one. Every member of the team works across a large number of strategic projects, business as usual work and regulatory and governance matters. The legal team is very busy and very engaged in interesting and varied work.
The Work Itself
You will be involved in commercial advice, strategic project support and contract drafting, negotiation and management across all business units and geographical regions, including in relation to development, M&A, data governance, services agreements, collaborative partnerships and procurement. In relation to the global property portfolio, there are construction contracts, leasing renewals, and new agreements for lease and lease management. You will also be involved with general governance support via the company secretariat function, legal risk management and contribute to the Group-wide Enterprise Risk Management Framework. You will take the legal lead on your matters with support from the other members of the legal team and through a close working relationship with the business. Sound Like You?
A commercial lawyer with 5-7 years PAE, strong contract drafting experience and some property experience. Experience from a well regarded private practice firm or in-house environment preferred. Calm, pragmatic and solutions-focused with the commercial acumen and confidence to manage multiple matters and stakeholders independently.
