Growth within the Professional Indemnity practice has created an opportunity for a junior lawyer to join the Brisbane team. With a consistent flow of work across financial lines, regulatory matters and professional risks, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of matters from the outset.
The Work Itself
You'll advise on coverage issues and defend claims brought against directors, officers, companies and professionals across the legal, financial services, construction, property and allied health sectors.
The work spans litigated and non-litigated matters, regulatory investigations and strategic coverage advice. One file may involve allegations against accountants or lawyers, while the next may centre on construction consultants, financial advisers or corporate directors facing significant financial and reputational exposure.
Working closely with insurers and market participants, you'll gain exposure to a diverse and intellectually engaging area of practice where no two matters are quite the same.

Sound Like You?
You're a lawyer with approximately 1-3 years' PAE gained in defendant insurance, commercial litigation or a related disputes practice. You enjoy solving complex problems, building client relationships and developing technical expertise.
Professional indemnity experience is not essential. Lawyers coming from broader insurance or commercial litigation backgrounds who are looking to specialise in this area are encouraged to apply.
