You have a couple of years in Wills & Estates behind you. You know the fundamentals, you are getting comfortable with client work, and you are ready for matters with more weight to them - and the kind of mentorship that actively builds a practice rather than leaving you to find your own way.
This is an Associate opportunity within a national commercial firm for a lawyer with 2+ years PQE who wants to work directly alongside a Doyles-recommended practice leader and special counsel as the team continues to grow.
The Firm
Our client is a national commercial firm with offices in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide, and international reach through established legal networks. The Brisbane Wills & Estates practice has the depth to handle sophisticated planning alongside contested estate work - known for technical capability, a collaborative team culture, and a practice leader recommended in Doyle's for both Estate Planning and Estate Litigation.
The Timing
The team is in an active growth phase, and this role exists because of it. The practice leader and special counsel are building out capability rather than maintaining a steady state, which means real proximity to senior practitioners and visibility into how a Wills & Estates practice gets shaped. The kind of day-to-day exposure that becomes harder to access once a team is fully built out.
The Work Itself
Estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and business owners. Asset protection across personal, corporate, family trust and superannuation structures. Probate and estate administration. Estate disputes and litigation. The breadth is genuine - you won't be siloed into planning or contested work - and the matters are substantive enough to keep building real expertise. Direct client contact, complex structures, and the technical demands that come with high-net-worth estate work.
