For the Construction Lawyer Ready to Work on Projects That Actually Shape Queensland
You know the difference between a firm that does construction work and one that leads it. You're looking for the latter: a team where the matters are genuinely complex, the clients are sophisticated, and the people around you push the standard higher.
The Firm
A top-tier firm with global reach and a construction and projects practice widely regarded as one of the strongest in the country. The client base spans public and private owners, developers, sponsors, financiers and contractors across transport, energy, oil and gas, water, social infrastructure and commercial development.
The Timing
This is a newly created role in an established, high-performing team. The volume and complexity of work on the ground means meaningful responsibility from day one.
The Work Itself
Front-end construction law across some of the largest projects currently being delivered in Australia. You'll work through procurement processes, prepare, review and negotiate the full spectrum of construction and engineering contracts, and advise on the legal and regulatory issues that arise along the way. The client mix is broad, so the angle you're advising from will shift depending on the instruction.
Where You'll Land
A firm recognised for mental health leadership, gender equality and family-friendly practices. Top of market salary, 26 weeks paid parental leave, flexible working and a professional development plan built around your goals.
Sound Like You?
Senior Associate level with at least 6 to 12 months at that level and specific experience advising on major construction and infrastructure projects. High quality private practice background; in-house experience within government or construction is well regarded. Academically strong, commercially astute, and someone who takes complex matters seriously.
