The Firm
We're partnering with a highly regarded Australian insurance and commercial disputes firm known for its expertise across professional liability, financial lines and complex litigation. The firm has built longstanding relationships with major insurers and their insureds, and is recognised for delivering practical, commercially focused advice on high-stakes matters.
The Timing
The team is looking to appoint a Senior Associate as it continues to grow its professional liability practice. This is an opportunity to join an established and respected team where you'll take ownership of matters, work closely with leading practitioners and play an active role in mentoring the next generation of lawyers.
The Work Itself
You'll advise insurers and professionals when significant disputes arise, helping them navigate complex claims, sensitive allegations and high-value litigation. One matter might involve defending a solicitor, accountant or engineer facing a professional negligence claim, while another could see you advising on directors' and officers' liability issues, management liability exposures or complex coverage questions.
As your role develops, you'll lead negotiations, mediations and court proceedings, build direct client relationships and contribute to the strategic direction of matters from commencement through to resolution.

Sound Like You?
You may be a Senior Associate with 4+ years' PAE in professional indemnity, insurance litigation or commercial litigation, looking to deepen your expertise and take on greater responsibility.
You'll bring strong technical skills, sound commercial judgement and the ability to manage matters and client relationships with confidence. Experience in professional liability and insurance matters is essential, as is a willingness to contribute to team development and mentor junior lawyers.
