Company Secretary

Your New Organisation
Our client is a listed real estate investor and funds management business with a strong Australian and New Zealand footprint and a growing funds platform. The organisation operates retail property funds and is actively executing a growth strategy that includes expanding into wholesale funds and more complex capital structures. This evolution is driving increased transactional activity, corporate complexity and the need for senior, commercial legal leadership.

The business is well-capitalised, pragmatic and commercially driven with a legal team that is resourcing ahead of growth, not reacting to it.

Your New Role
Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel - Corporate and Funds, you will provide high-quality company secretariat and governance advisory services to the Board and internal stakeholders.

This is a senior, trusted role supporting Board effectiveness, regulatory compliance and sound decision-making across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include advising on directors’ duties and disclosure obligations, coordinating Board and Committee processes, managing statutory filings, and engaging with regulators, investors and shareholders, including oversight of AGMs.

This role will suit a senior lawyer who enjoys being close to deals, strategy, and decision-making.

  • Corporate discounts across banking, fitness, health and lifestyle products

Your Skills Profile
You are an experienced governance professional with the credibility and judgement to operate at Board level. You will bring:
    • Exceptional integrity, discretion and professionalism
    • Advanced organisational skills with the ability to manage complex Board processes
    • Strong analytical capability and sound judgement across regulatory frameworks
    • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
